This research is intended to evaluate and forecast a prospect of shariah banking in Indonesia. The data employed in the study are secondary time series data from quarterly data for period of 2001.I-2007.II or constitutes observation consisting of 26 series of data of picked from several publication. In this research, be assumed that the period forecasting is 2007.III-2008.IV. The method of analysis used in the study are Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model for forecasting the growth of shariah banking in Indonesia.
The result of ARIMA model gives information that prospect of shariah banking in Indonesia very good. This condition is performed from three indicators of banking, which are asset, third party fund (DPK), and financing. By movement the nominal value of asset, DPK, and financing are predicted going up in 2007 and 2008. However, the growth of three indicators are decrease. Three indicators have strong correlation. It means that movement of one indicator tend to follow the other indicators.
